HRC51: statement at ID with Independent Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine
On 23rd September, Human Rights House Foundation delivered a statement at HRC51 highlighting the human rights situation in Ukraine following the full-scale Russian invasion, with a particular focus on the situation for enforced disappearances as reported by network of Human Rights Houses member, ZMINA. The statement was delivered during the Interactive dialogue with the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the situation of human rights in Ukraine stemming from the Russian aggression.

Marking six months since the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine
Six months after the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Human Rights House Foundation repeats its condemnation of Russian aggression against Ukraine and ensuing human rights crisis. HRHF also renews its call on UN Human Rights Council member states to establish a Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in Russia.
HRC50 summary: Pushing for action on crisis in Eastern Europe and advocating for stronger international human rights standards
At the 50th Session of the UN Human Rights Council, Human Rights House Foundation continued its work calling on the Human Rights Council to take action on the human rights crisis in Eastern Europe characterised, in part, by the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, and the increasingly dire human rights situation in Belarus.
HRC50: Human rights in Crimea
On 5 July 2022, at the 50th session of the UN Human Rights Council, Human Rights House Foundation (HRHF) highlighted the human rights situation in Crimea in the context of the Russian occupation and aggression against Ukraine. HRHF called on the Council to continue to express solidarity with Crimeans, to address opportunities to provide support to victims of political reprisals in Crimea and to provide assistance to investigations into serious human rights violations and international crimes occurring in Crimea as well as the rest of Ukraine.

On 16 June 2022, Human Rights House Foundation highlighted human rights violations committed by Russian forces in Ukraine at the 50th session of the UN Human Rights Council, in a statement at the Interactive Dialogue on the High Commissioner’s oral update on the situation in Mariupol.
