Media Freedom in Ukraine – OSCE SHDM I
On 13 March 2023, Human Rights House Foundation will host “Media Freedom in Ukraine: Uncovering the Truth in a Time of War”, a side event at the OSCE Supplementary Human Dimension Meeting. The event is co-hosted by Institute for Mass Information (Ukraine), and Zmina Human Rights Center.
#HRC52 – Accountability for international crimes and serious human rights violations in Belarus
This side event in the margins of the 52nd Human Rights Council session will update states on the constantly deteriorating human rights situation in Belarus, particularly with respect to the most serious violations occurring in the country and the need to continue international attention through the extension and strengthening of existing HRC mandates.
“The Human being is the Highest Value” – Young Armenians explore the Constitution & human rights through short films
Over the course of several months in 2022, young Armenians explored the importance of human rights in Armenia’s constitution and other issues in society through 30 short films produced as part of a project organised by “Open Platform for Art” NGO and PEN Armenia.
UPR Poland 2023 – Reflections from Polish civil society
On 15 November 2023, Human Rights House Foundation hosted a conversation between Polish civil society representatives reflecting on the recommendations given by delegations immediately following the conclusion of Poland’s Universal Periodic Review process at the United Nations in Geneva. More than 240 recommendations were made by around 80 delegations on the human rights situation in Poland over the last five years.

Reconnecting in times of crises: House Treff 2022
For three days in September, representatives of the network of Human Rights Houses met in Vilnius, Lithuania for House Treff 2022. This event marked the first time that the Houses were able to reconnect in-person following several years of unprecedented world events. Together, they discussed how the network can address the impact of these world events and meet common challenges together.
Crimea & the renewed Russian invasion of Ukraine: New Human Rights Challenges – Crimea Platform Side Event
On 24 October 2022, Human Rights House Foundation co-organised a side event ahead of the start of the First Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform. The event focused on the deteriorating human rights situation in occupied Crimea following the launch of renewed Russian aggression against Ukraine in February 2022.

On 10 October 2022, Human Rights House Foundation and several Ukrainian partners co-hosted a side event at PACE, aimed at Refocusing international attention on grave human rights violations in the occupied peninsula after the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
