Civic Solidarity Platform calls for the release of Andrei Aliaksandrau

Civic Solidarity Platform (CSP) has issued a statement expressing alarm at the arrest of journalist Andrei Aliaksandrau and his partner, Irina Zlobina in Minsk on 13 January 2021. Human Rights House Foundation strongly condemns the widespread disproportionate use of violence on the part of the Belarusian authorities during and following the August 9 presidential election. The use of violence against peaceful protesters must end immediately and the fundamental human rights of the Belarusian people must be respected.
