First community home in Macedonia
Last week in Skopje the first ever community based home for people with disabilities in FYR Macedonia was opened. Home is major step toward ending social exclusion of people with disabilities. The community home will be operated by Polio Plus, a Macedonian NGO, with funding from the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and the Open Society Mental Health Initiative.

The UDHR slab unveiled in Uganda
The Ambassador of France in the Republic of Uganda, Mr. René Forceville, placed a glass slab engraved with the full text of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) on the wall of the French Embassy building on 10th December 2008. The Solemn unveiling of this slab, which coincides with the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, symbolises the making of the French Embassy a place of Human Rights, a symbolism will be done in all the French Diplomatic Missions abroad.
