Human Rights House Foundation (HRHF) condemns the actions taken on 19 and 20 October 2019 by Azerbaijani authorities. We call upon Azerbaijani authorities to respect their international obligations and uphold fundamental rights.

In a joint statement, 54 international and Venezuelan organisations – including HRHF – raise concerns about Venezuela’s fitness to be a member of the UN Human Rights Council, calling on States at the UN General Assembly to safeguard the integrity of the Council.

In a statement at HRC 41, HRHF calls on the UN Human Rights Council to renew the mandate of the Special Rapporteur on Belarus, support Belarus in implementing its recommendations from human rights treaty bodies, and encourage Belarus to expand on its meaningful cooperation with civil society.
