Presentation of Victor Martinovich`s book “Homeland. Marc Chagall in Vitebsk”
On November 16 at 18.30 there will be a presentation of the book by Victor Martinovich called “Homeland. Marc Chagall in Vitebsk” held in the Human Rights House in Vilnius . The event is organized by the Student Union of the European Humanities University and is supported by Belarusian Human Rights House.

Мерапрыемства пройдзе ў Музеі ахвяр генацыду (Auku g.2) у межах тыдня супраць смяротнага пакарання, арганізаванага кампаніяй «Праваабаронцы супраць смяротнага пакарання ў Беларусі» з 5 па 10 кастрычніка і прымеркаванага да Сусветнага дня супраць смяротнага пакарання.
Discussion “(Il)legal Killing…”.
On 7 October 2015, at 16:00 the Barys Zvozskau Belarusian Human Rights House together with the Freedom House (Lithuania office) and the Museum of Genocide Victims in Vilnius will organize a discussion “(Il)legal Killing…”. The event will be held at the Museum of Genocide Victims (Auku g.2) within the framework of the Week against the Death Penalty, organized by the campaign “Human Rights Defenders against the Death Penalty in Belarus” from 5 to 10 October, and dedicated to the World Day against the Death Penalty.
The human rights situation in Azerbaijan
In Azerbaijan, space for independent civil society has disappeared, following a crackdown since the presidential election in October 2013. Ahead of the parliamentary elections in November 2015, all leading civil society actors are either in prison or have fled the country.
