NGOs in B&H condemn the attack by Tasim Kucevic
Human Rights House Sarajevo supported the initiative of non-governmental organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H) who most severly condemn the physical and verbal attack made by Tasim Kucevic (on right), women trafficker and organizer of forced prostitution, on the family member of one of his victims. The attack happened yesterday in front of the building of the Court of B&H.
SEEMO/IPI condemns threats against journalists in RS
The South East Europe Media Organisation (SEEMO) strongly condemns the recent threats made against Slobodan Vaskovic (on right), a journalist from Banja Luka, Republika Srpska (RS), entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Vaskovic received a threatening letter, signed by a group calling itself the Serbian Avengers, following reports about the Serbian Orthodox Church in his publication, Novi Magazin.
South East Europe petition for EU accession
The Helsinki Committee for Human Rights (HCHR) in Bosnia and Herzegovina with representatives of civil society from countries throughout South East Europe (SEE), urges the EU to consider integrating all of the SEE countries together. -A simultaneous integration will be the only way to ensure a peaceful, just and secure future for the people of the region, argues the HCHR.
New directory of women’s groups launched in B&H
CURE Foundation last week launched an online version of the Directory of Women’s Groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H), as part of the result of the initiative “Reviving the Women’s Movement in BiH” (RWM). Results of the research on women’s groups in B&H were also presented.
