The fourth attempt of the For Freedom movement, headed by former presidential candidate Alyaksandr Milinkevich, to register was crowned with success. On 17 December the organization received its registration certificate.
President of the HRH in Vilnius receives award
Barys Zvozskau, right, president of the exile Belarusian Human Rights House in Vilnius, Lithuania, has received an award from the organisation Human Rights Alliance for his long-term commitment and achievements to human rights advocacy. The journalist Siamion Pechanko and the advocate Tamara Sidarenka also received the award.

On 12-13 December the Belarusian Human Rights House hosted a training session on the use of online materials and topics related to the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) and European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR).

The Belarusian Human Rights House in Vilnius joined the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by conducting a photo competition for the best illustration of human rights in the Republic of Belarus. The results of the competition were summed up and announced on 10 December.
