HRHF in Georgia
HRHF visits Georgia to participate in a human rights defenders training focussing on security and protection. South Caucasian Network hosts the training. Somali journalist freed after 20 days’ imprisonment
The National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ) today welcomes the release of journalist Jama Ayanle Feyte from Bossasso jail after the president of Puntland’s pardon. Bossasso Court convicted Jama Ayanle Feyte for libel and insult of Puntland leaders and dissemination of false information on Somali news websites. Feyte’s original sentence was for two year’s imprisonment.
