Disappearances as a weapon in the combat against terror will be one of the action highlights this spring. In Pakistan, Russia, and many other countries people are being abducted, and their families and friends have no knowledge of their whereabouts or how they are doing. This constitutes a human rights violation!
You can find a presentation on the campaign here.

In connection with this spring’s highlight, Amnesty International is inviting you to take part in a thematic photographic competition on the issue of disappearances.

We will set up a jury consisting of an Amnesty member, a well-known photographer, and Amnetys web editor and photographer Kristin Rødland Buick. The prize will be a selection of Amnesty’s clothing collection from Activist (http://www.activist.no) worth 2.000 kroner.

What to do?

– Take a picture
– Publish the picture on this group or send it to foto@amnesty.no
– You can tag the photos taken from the Western region, because we would like to use your photos for an exhibition later on during the campaign!!
– Deadline: Tuesday 6. April.

It is very important to us that the pictures can be used in Amnesty’s campaigns. We therefore ask you to publish your picture in accordance with Creative commons license (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by3.0/) and that they are published in a high resolution.

Now, get going! =) Good luck!
