A collection of songs, poems, confessions, curses and a joke were put together by the theatre troupe following the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine as a way of processing the situation.

What is it like to wake up in the morning to air-raid sirens? What is it like to survive occupation? What is it like to wait for loved ones on the front lines? “Imperium delendum est” is Lesya Ukrainka’s first new play since the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. The play premiered on 22 June 2022 and has since been performed in Ukraine, France, Romania, Poland and Germany.

The Lesya Ukrainka Lviv Drama Academy Theater is represented by a group of young, ambitious and courageous stage artists. The award-winning theatre promotes an inclusive culture and believes that the theatre has room for everyone.
