As Human Rights House Foundation’s accountant, my work with human rights is largely based in spreadsheets, but it’s extremely rewarding to know that the numbers add up to something important.
Thomas works with daily accounting for the HRHF’s offices, including bookkeeping, payments and monthly reports on the results for Oslo, Geneva, Brussels and Tbilisi. He ensures that all the numbers are correct and follow governmental laws as well as the rules and procedures from donors. Thomas is also responsible for reporting on projects according to their deadlines.
Thomas has mostly worked with accounting, price calculation and reporting for private companies in the travel industry. Prior to starting at HRHF in May 2017, he ran his own company for 14 years which arranged events and group travels as well as working as a consultant in accounting combined with a job as a prison officer.
