From his colleague Tatiana Banina, who recently was among the delegates to HRH´s Baku conference, workshops and annual meeting, www.humanrightshouse.org has just learnt that Stanislav Dmitrievski, right, of the Russian-Chechen Friendship Society has received an indictment stating that he is guilty of having performed actions aimed at inciting hatred or hostility. The maximum penalty for this crime is five years´ imprisonment. (30-SEP-05)

Yesterday, 29 September, Stanislav Dmitrievski received an indictment at the prosecutor´s office of the Nizhny Novgorod region. There it is stated that he is guilty of committing a crime according to part 2 of the article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, that refers to performing actions aimed at inciting hatred or hostility and at disparagement of either an individual or a group of people according to their gender, race, nationality, background, religious beliefs as well as belonging to any social group that are committed publicly or through mass media outlets. The maximum penalty for crimes that the article refers to is 5 years. The indictment was signed by the former examinator of the prosecutor?s office of the Nizhny Novgorod region Oleg Kirukov and confirmed by the vise chief of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Belov.
