Project suspension

Norwegian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Steinar Gil told a news conference on Thursday that the Norwegian embassy should not be blamed for the suspension of the project worth $100,000. “The suspension is due to the dispute, which arose between the project coordinator National Center for Ecological Forecast and the contractor “Agroconsulting” organization,” he underlined.
Gil said that after meeting with the contractor and the project coordinator he applied to the Norwegian Foreign Ministry with a request to halt financing the project.

He added that the funds allocated for the project would now go to other projects underway in Azerbaijan.*
