The European Union decided to prohibit the entrance to its territory to the police colonel Padabed for participation in the beating of the leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Liabedzka during the protest action of 20 October and the head of the Central Election Committee of Belarus Lidziya Yarmoshyna — for falsification of the results of the parliamentary election and the referendum of 17 October.

This decision was taken within the sanctions towards Belarusian authorities after the referendum about the continuation of the presidential powers of Aliaksandr Lukashenka.

In September the EU also prohibited entrance to Viktar Sheyman, who at that time was prosecutor general, the minister of internal affairs Uladzimir Navumaw, the minister of sport Yury Sivakow and the police colonel Zmitser Pawlichenka.
