The aim of the project is to gather interested institutions and associations from the city of Kutina and establish coordinated and developed social services for asylum seekers (children, youth, elders, men, women, persons with disabilities, blind and visually challenged persons, LGBTIQ persons etc.) in the Home for Asylum Seekers and more broadly, in the local community.

During the training which was held from 8th-10th January this year with aim to plan types and dynamics of the social service performance, the Coordination of organizations for  providing social services for asylum seekers was established. Partner organizations in the Coordination are: Croatian red cross, City of Kutina, Library of Kutina, Touristic community of the city of Kutina, Association Igra, Zagreb Pride, Center for women victims of war, Association Izazov, Association of the persons with disabilities of Kutina, Youth Culture Center.

Training participants visited Home for Asylum Seekers, where they collected the information on legal environment in the area of asylum seeking, and on integration system and modules for asylum seekers. Training was also a place to share experiences and plan joint activities.

The plan of performance of various social services is agreed, starting from the workshops with children, support to youth development ad their engagement in the life of local community, support to women, men, persons with disabilities, LGBTIQ persons, blind and visually challenged persons to organization of the picnic in the area of Moslava, providing the fund of foreign literature and bicycles for facilitation of the transport of asylum seekers from Home to the city. Activities should start in the beginning of February with support of Ministry of Internal Affairs that CMS expects in the end of this month .

CMS also announces publication and promotion of the new edition of “Institutional guide for asylum seekers” during January and publication of evaluation “Course of Croatian language” that is being hold 2 times per week in the Home for Asylum seekers.
