Hereby we invite you to the conference devoted to discussion on various forms of discrimination in contemporary societies. The Human Rights House Network, working in different countries, encounters different types of discrimination as a frequent mode of violation or denial of human rights.  This conference will present the current problems, as well as possible policies and ways to combat discrimination.

A part of the conference will work in groups divided by the major areas of discrimination:
national/ethnic, regional/development (differences between centres and peripheries), gender, and disabilities. The speakers involve international and Croatian experts, as well as experienced human rights activists from Croatia, other post-Yugoslav countries, and other members of the Human Rights House Network.

The conference offers an opportunity for in-depth analyses of causes, conditions and conse-quences of discrimination; for exchange of experiences in combating discrimination; and for development of policies that contribute to its elimination. The working language is English (with simultaneous interpreting to Croatian and Russian).
