The film selection focuses on truth and reconciliation, inequality and corruption. But it will also include filmic accounts of some recent military conflicts in Africa; for example the award-winning Greatest Silence: Rape in Congo, which was also the opening film of One World in Prague. Screenings and discussions in low income areas, some which should take place also in the first half of 2009, are another important part of the festival.
Dunia Moja – new human rights film festival in Kenya
A new human rights film festival is taking place these days in Nairobi and several other locations in the Republic of Kenya. Dunia Moja (One World in Swahili) is partnered, among others, by One World Prague. HRHN has been in contact with One World for several years, and attended their flagship festival in Prague earlier this year.
