The Azerbaijan Young Lawyers’ Union (AYLU) is a non-governmental and non-profit youth organization, which includes about 150 law students, masters and young practicing lawyers. The AYLU targets to reinforce human rights situation through promotion and research of human rights, and conduction of workshops and seminars on legal awareness for civilians. The Azerbaijan Young Lawyers Union (AYLU), jointly with Sweden’s Raul Vollenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, will open a ‘summer school’ in Baku August 9-20.
The classes will be run by three experts from Sweden – Emma Melander Borg, a division chairman under the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Headquarters Aldrix Andrisek, a human rights specialist, professor of Lund University Karl Novak, and several Azerbaijani experts, the AYLU said.
The classes will benefit senior and graduate students of law and international law, young lawyers, including representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
