On 30 January 2008 a session of the Council of the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights was held and was also the first meeting in a series devoted to the development of the strategy for Foundation´s activities in the upcoming years. At the same time, the Council introduced changes in the Foundation´s statutory bodies. (04-FEB-08)

The hitherto President of the Board, attorney Marek Antoni Nowicki, returned to the Foundation´s Council. The previous Vice-President – Danuta Przywara – was appointed President in his place. The post of Vice-president is now occupied by Prof. Zbigniew Ho³da (until now a member of the Board). Dr. Adam Bodnar was selected as Secretary in connection with the appointment of Prof. Andrzej Rzepliñski for the position of Constitutional Tribunal judge. Janina A. K³osowska became a new Board member. At the same time, the Council accepted Senator Piotr £. J. Andrzejewski´s decision to withdraw from the Board´s work in connection with his political activity.
