Position: Regional Officer for South Caucasus Terms of Reference Location: South Caucasus (majority of work in Armenia the first 6 months)
Responsibilities:
The officer will work in cooperation with the rest of the HRHF’s regional team to:

Follow up long term cooperation with partners to ensure sustainable national, regional networks, support institution building and capacity building in the South Caucasus region;

Monitor, review and report on activities of the Human Rights House Network and the South Caucasus Network of Human Rights Defenders;

Fundraise together with partner organizations for regional and national joint activities within the Human Rights House Network;

Facilitate horizontal sharing of expertise and knowledge within the Human Rights House Network to improve the capacity of the partner organizations in networking and institution building, project and financial management;

Prepare visits of international and regional experts, as well as members of the Human Rights House Network to the region;
Assist partners in preparing documentation about the HR situation in the region for international advocacy and national awareness raising.
The candidate should have the following qualifications:

Excellent coordination and communication skills;

Excellent English and good Russian;

Higher education and working experience (minimum 2 years) from the human rights field, preferably from a non-governmental or international organization;

Knowledge about the political, human rights and civil society situation in South Caucasus;

Experience in project management and fundraising;
-
Will and ability for cooperation and networking.
The salary level will be adjusted to the costs level in the South Caucasus region (updated 15 May 2014). The position requires frequent travels within South Caucasus region.
