The Independence Day events will begin at noon at the Vilnius Rasų cemetery. Flowers will be laid to honor the signatories of the Act of Independence of the Belarusian Democratic Republic of March 25, 1918.
At 2 p.m., the discussion on “The Independence Day in Belarus. Current situation, expectations of prospects” will be held at the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania. Belarusian and Lithuanian politicians, human rights defenders, civic activists and relatives of political prisoners will participate in the discussion.
The Independence Day will close with a concert featuring a Belarusian singer Palina Respublika and a performance by the Belarusian Dream Theatre. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m. at Užupio kavinė.
The organizational committee of the Independence Day in Vilnius invites all the Vilnius Belarusians, colleagues, partners and Belarusians visiting the capital of Lithuania to join the Independence Day celebration.

Discussion on "The Independence Day in Belarus. Current situation, expectations of prospects” at the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.
The following questions will be discussed: the current social and political situation in Belarus, human rights issues, political prisoners, the results of the elections to the local councils (to be held on March 23, 2014), and forecast of events during the presidential election campaign 2015.
