Семинар “Как работать с гражданами с психическими расстройствами”

Международные эксперты, а также российские специалисты в области психиатрии выступят с докладами и ответят на вопросы участников по таким вопросам как: базовые знания о психических расстройствах; психические болезни, расстройства личности и поведения, интеллектуально-мнестическая недостаточность, недееспособность, медицинский и юридический аспекты. недееспособности, неспособность понимать значение своих действий и руководить ими во время совершения сделки , общие правила приема лиц с психическими расстройствами, информация о тех расстройствах, с которыми можно часто встретиться на приеме, некоторые способы определения способности лица понимать значение своих действий и руководить ими, правовое положение лиц с психическими расстройствами, разбор типовых случаев оспаривания сделок, заключенных лицами с психическими расстройствами.

Seminar ‘How to Treat People with Mental Disorders’

The seminar is organized by Independent Psychiatric Association of Russia in cooperation with public organization ‘Ivanovo Regional Society of Human Rights’, Commission on Human Rights by the Governor of Ivanovo Region and Department of the Internal Policy of Ivanovo Region with the financial support of European Commission.

International experts and specialists from IPA and other Russian organizations will make reports and answer questions of the participants on such issues as basic knowledge on psychological disorders, psychological diseases, dissociations, incapability, medical criteria of incapability, legal status of citizens with mental disorders, etc.

Amnesty International covers Georgia in its annual report

On 27 May 2010 Amnesty International issued the annual report on human rights which dedicates the page to the description of the situation in Georgia. It says that none of the crimes committed during the war 2008 has been investigated appropriately and EUMM monitors do not have access to the Abkhazian and South Ossetian territory. The report concerns about the situation of IDPs as well. Despite the fact that they are accommodated, their social and economic rights are not ensured.

EU mission to Burma – new approach to press ruling junta to adopt democracy?

The European Union hopes to send a mission to Burma as part of a new approach to press the country’s ruling junta to adopt democracy. “There is a tendency towards a Dialogue,” said Jose Eugenio Salarich, a Spanish senior official responsible for relations with Asia and the Pacific.

The ‘inconvenient’ Truth: meltdown in Belarus

Republic of Belarus inaugurated yet another ‘hunting season’ on pro-democracy activists. On 18 and 19 May police and KGB conducted mass searches in Minsk, Hrodna, Brest, Homel, and Mahiloŭ. Civic campaign Tell the Truth!, which in several months had managed to capture country’s attention with its original and offbeat actions, became a target of the authorities. Searches and arrests were also conducted else where and with other organisations.

Demonstration to Call for Release of Eynulla Fatullayev

Azerbaijani newspaper editor Eynulla Fatullayev, 33, is serving an eight-and-a-half year prison sentence based on trumped up charges of terrorism and defamation. He was jailed in April 2007 after writing a series of articles critical of the authorities.

Anne Kloster Holst – new chairperson of the Rafto Foundation’s Board of Directors

The new chairperson of the Rafto Foundation’s Board of Directors is Anne Kloster Holst (43). She is an adviser at the Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Higher Education (SIU) in Bergen. The new chairperson expressed a strong desire to to help the Rafto Foundation continue its positive development.

Праўда замінае беларускім уладам напярэдадні прэзідэнцкай кампаніі

18 і 19 траўня Беларусь накрыла новая хваля акцый ціску і запалохвання дэмакратычных актывістаў. Масавыя ператрусы правялі супрацоўнікі міліцыі і КДБ у Менску, Гародні, Берасці, Гомелі, Магілёве. Гэтым разам мішэнню ўладаў сталася грамадская кампанія “Гавары праўду!”, што за некалькі месяцаў здолела стаць папулярнай. Хаця ператрусы і рэпрэсіі аўтарытарнай дзяржавы закранулі не толькі яе.
