Forty pictures reflect events in Ukraine, taking place from November 2013 until February 2014. Starting from a massive peaceful protest against president’s decision not to sign the Asocciation Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union has grown into a bloody confrontation between protesters and law-enforcement in the center of Kiev and other Ukrainian cities. “I was truthfully describing the events of Maidan, sending reports to different newspapers. I thought this was my duty. The exhibition will show how people lived these days,”- says Marianna Hardy, the author of the photos. During opening of the exhibition, the guests will have an opportunity not only to see the shots of Kiev’s events, but also to meet Marianna Hardy, listen to her stories about her experience and ask questions. Photos of the event stirred up the whole world and now residents and guests of Vilnius will be able to see these photos at the Barys Zvozskau Belarusian Human Rights House from 26 September.

Marianna Hardy works as a photojournalist with a number of Ukrainian periodicals, she is a winner of several photo contests and a regular participant of exhibitions. The photographer was injured while taking pictures during protests in the city center of Kiev in January and February 2014. She was awarded for her work in hot spots of Euramaidan and has already organized several exhibitions on the topic of Euramaidan in Ukraine and Poland.
