On 6 November it is 33 years ago Morocco invaded West-Sahara which resulted in that half the country’s population were put to flight. The UN has condemned the occupation, but so far Norway has not been putting pressure on Morocco to respect the Sahrawi’s right to self-determination and independence.
The letter shows that there is wide agreement among all political parties in Norway today on the problems in West-Sahara and it demands that the coalition government implement agreements, which are made in the three political parties that constitute the government. The letter, which contains 12 concrete demands to the government, will be handed over to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a formal meeting, on 10 November.
