The report examines the achievement made by the Republic of Macedonia in terms of protection of women’s rights and reproductive rights under the international conventions and agreements ratified or signed by the state. It also addresses the legal cooperation among the national legislation regarding women’s rights in the country – their inclusion in the education system, employment, health, access to reproductive services, the situation with women in rural areas, etc.

In this respect, the document gives recommendations for further adjustment of the national development priorities in order to establish conditions for their successful implementation. Ratified international conventions and/or agreements, according to article 118 of the Constitution, are part of the interior legal regime and can not be changed with law. Some of the conventions are either accepted by succession or ratified.
