The school gathered around 40 participants, mainly high school students between the age of 15 and 19 from various Macedonian cities: Tetovo, Stip, Probistip, Bitola, Struga, Kocani and Skopje. The selection of the participants was made in order to achieve ethnic, religious and gender balance.

During the Human Rights School, interactive methods were used regarding following topics:

–  Tolerance of differences;
–  Culture-multiculire;
–  Constructive listening;
–  Etiquette making;
–  Religion;
–  Discrimination, tolerance, equality (cosmopolitism, phobias);
–  Gender equality, LGBTIQ rights;
–  Child rights;
–  Concept of human rights ;
–  Youth activism;
–  Conflicts and peaceful conflict resolution ;
–  Council of Europe, UNICEF, UN;
– Documents on human rights protection (The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, European Convention on Human Rights).

Each of the topics was done in detail via organized workshops, and session in which every participant had an opportunity to actively participate, express his/her attitude and opinion, and start a debate on certain issue.  Within the School, Forum Theatre was organized too, creative workshops, actions, City Fairs etc.

The participants have gained practical knowledge on this year’s school’s topics, made a lot of contacts, they have associated with each other quite actively, exchanged their experiences and made new friendships.
