The catalog was developed with the support of Human Rights House Network and posted on the website of the Network. The initiative to create such a catalog came from the Belarusian experts and graduates of the program, and now, after the successful implementation of the idea, their colleagues from other countries, including Azerbaijan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine, can to take advantage of the database of the documents.

“This is the first Russian-language catalog, that has the feature to search the necessary decisions, according to various criteria. Up until now, these catalogs were available only in English, – said one of the experts of the program Raman Kisliak (left). – The catalog is designed for lawyers, advocates, human rights organizations employees and other interested people to have the opportunity to learn more about the decisions of the UN Committees without having to spend a lot of time and effort on the search.”

According to Raman Kisliak, there are already 150 last-year decisions of the Committee on Human Rights, the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women and the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, in the catalog.

Experts of the “International law in Advocacy” will quickly post new decisions of the committee. One of such decisions is Russian language version of the decision of the Committee for Human Rights in the case of Aliaksandr Kazulin, which was published in early August. Also, the catalog will be filled retrospectively: earlier decisions will be posted gradually. There are plans to publish decisions of the other bodies: the Committee against Torture and the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Before the end of this year more than 1000 decisions are expected to be included in the catalog.
