Two teams from HFHR have visited Central Asia in connection with a human rights education and monitoring project. (26 April 2002)
Two teams of HFHR staff and voluntaries have already returned from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Armenia. They conducted lessons on human rights monitoring and reporting there, as a part of the Helsinki Foundation’s project prepared on the request of the OSCE/ODIHR in Warsaw. The recipients of the project are NGO members and civil servants in such countries as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan. The next team of the HFHR’s trainers will leave for Georgia on 8 May. The implementation of the whole project will last until the end of 2003.
