The gathering was also the opportunity to introduce the participants to the political and environmental situation in Haiti before and after the earthquake, as well as the opportunity to discuss about providing efficient and more organized humanitarian assistance. 
  
The program included presentations made by:

  • Tihomir Ponos, who gave a brief review of the history of political turmoil in Haiti, 
  • Jagoda Munic spoke about the influence of environmental devastation on the increase of consequences of natural disasters and human rights,
  • Gordana Obradovic, feministic support in disaster and crisis,
  • Lovorka Marinovic, who talked about the challenges of humanitarian intervention – dogs of war and disaster. 

Hosts of the fundraising night were Sanja Sarnavka and Marina Skrabalo. Haiti ethno music was played during the evening by DJ D-gree. 
  
Zdravka Sadzakov, from B.a.B.e. managed to get donations in kind, from the Zagreb Brewery, Imota, Imotski (wine), and Labud. 

HRH Zagreb managed to gather around 100 people, and raise the fund in amount of 11,310.00 Croatian Kunas (1,550.792 EUR), while the payment of few more civil society organizations is in the process. 

The final amount of collected funds will be announced on Friday, February 19th, when the total amount of money will be transferred to the accounts of the Red Cross, Caritas and UNICEF.
