Suicide bomb attack injures three journalists in Somaliland

A suicide bomb attack on Wednesday 29th October outside the Ethiopian consulate in Hargeisa, Somaliland, injured three journalists, who were walking before the premises of Ethiopian mission. Journalist Mohamed Harun Ahmed of Somaliland Space Chanel was severely injured as his two legs were broken by the detonation.

Journalist Jamal Abdi Mohamed of Hagen Newspaper had his left hand wounded and Abdi Hamud of Somaliland space channel was also wounded in the left arm. All three journalists were hospitalized.

This bomb attack is intentional and barbaric act, which represents a clear violation of international laws and conventions, said Omar Faruk Osman, left, Secretary General of the National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ). The National Union of Somali Journalists demands investigations of the attack and no impunity for the attackers.

HRC56: Concerns related to freedom of expression in Serbia
