The Human Rights House Foundation worked with partners of the Human Rights House Network and the South Caucasus Network of Human Rights Defenders to submit a report to the Committee. We will also follow the review in Geneva with human rights defenders in Geneva participating at the review from the Women’s Ressource Centre Armenia, the Helsinki Citizen’s Assembly (Vanadzour Office), and the “Public Information and Need of Knowledge” (PINK Armenia) NGO.

Review of Armenia at Committee against Torture
The Armenian government needs to take legal measures to eradicate the use of torture and other cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment or punishment, and needs to implement change in practices that amount to torture. This was made clear at its review at the United Nations Committee against Torture.
