Award-winning "Burma VJ" is the first film in the program to the Film Festival "Human Rights Human Wrongs" Wednesday 3 February at 14.00. It is followed by discussion with Khin Maung Win from DVB, Peter Gitmark from the Conservatives and Jon Peder Egenæs from Amnesty Norway, led by Erling Borgen.

Human Rights Human Wrongs is Scandinavia’s first and only film festival with a focus on human rights. Over five days 25 movies are screened.

Introduction: Torstein Nybø Media Mente, co-producer of the film, and Khin Maung Win, deputy chairman of the Democratic Voice of Burma.

Burma: After the evidence – what next?

Democratic Voice of Burma, as featured in Burma VJ, is fundamental in getting accurate and unbiased information out of and into Burma. After the video evidence of the monks’ demonstrations, the outside world is now aware of the human rights violations going on inside the country. But will there be any reaction by the international community at a political level?

– Khin Maung Win, deputy chairman of the Democratic Voice of Burma – Peter Gitmark, Conservative spokesman for democracy and human rights and a member of Parliament’s foreign affairs and defense committee with the involvement of Burma.
