Center for Peace Studies, together with regional partners: the Bureau of Human Rights in Tuzla, the Center for Cultural Decontamination in Belgrade and Peace Institute in Ljubljana is organizing a two-day conference to be held in Zagreb on 14th and 15 travnja 2010th The hotel in Dubrovnik.
The conference, which is part of the same name, the EU project, will present the results of previous work, as well as a brochure/ collection, which represents the legal, regulatory and political aspects of the problem, and examples of good practice and recommendations for better regulation of minority politics.
The aim of the conference is an affirmation of good practices in inter-ethnic cooperation at national and local levels that these organizations consider important in establishing the best possible relations between the countries of the region.
Desire of the organizations is to improve interethnic relations in the region through a common definition of political advocacy agenda based on the principle of inter-cooperation between minority organizations and minority representative in the executive and legislative authorities.
CMS will, together with is partners, work to strengthen their position and mutual cooperation, as well as increasing public awareness of minority issues and the design of national, action plans for its improvement.
The conference is intended for government representatives, representatives of minorities, theoreticians / academics, and representatives of NGOs dealing with these issues. Guests are expected from throughout the region: the minority members of parliament of Serbia, Bosnia, Slovenia, as well as representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of these countries and civil society representatives from all three countries.
