International symposium "New perspectives: Migrations in Central and South East European Region" will be organized from 8th – 9th of May in Goethe-Institut in Zagreb, in cooperation with the organizations: Initiative Minderheiten fro Vienna, Queer Zagreb, Goethe-Institut and Center for Peace Studies. 
 
The project "New perspectives" deals with the history of European migrations. Symposium offers four research topics: recruitment, media, reversible migrations (Golden East) and queer migrations, including comments of experts from various fields, plus joint debates and discussions.  
 
Movies ”Paper Dolls” by Tomer Heymann (Isreal, 2006.) with the director attending and ”Hrvatska, (k)raj na zemlji / Croatia, heaven/end on Earth” by Oliver Sertić (Croatia, 2006.) will be presented, as well as few expositions will be available on topic Asylum in Croatia. 
 
Working languages are English and German, simultaneous translation provided.
