Main topics of the conference in Donja Stubica, organized by Center for Peace Studies Zagreb ( CMS ), were transformation of conflict, facing with the past and peace building. Around 50 young activists from the EU countries and Euro-Mediterranean region, as well as from the countries of Western Balkan, took participation in this conference.
The participants of the conference were from Germany, France, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Morocco, Palestine, Jordan, Isreal, Greece, Serbia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, have made “The Role of Youth in Peace Building Process” declaration, which will be the basis for advocating institutional and legal changes on national and European level.
Youth as an integral part of society has the influence and the power to change societies. They therefore need to be perceived and encouraged by all active social protagonists. The condition should be established by all social actors in all areas of society. This declaration thus, commits everyone to carry the resposnibility for today and tomorrow in peace-building process and to combate against injustice and discrimination.
