Human rights defender Aleh Vouchak informed the BelaPAN news agency about it.

The new charges are related to the criminal case of 30 October 2005 when weapons and explosives were found on the grounds of the Hrodna lyceum. Someone Laryn was already charged in this case.

Aleh Vouchak also said that the previous court cases, in which Autukhovich is a prime suspect, and the current weapons case are united into one. Investigation is led by the head of the Ministry of Interior violent crime unit Viktar Klachko.

Meanwhile, Mr Autokhovich, still under arrest, continues a hunger strike, which he started in 16 April.

Three private entrepreneurs from Vaŭkavysk, Autukhovich amongst them, were arrested by police on 8 February. They were investigated for deliberate destruction of property according to Art. 218 of CC.

Regardless of the fact that human rights defenders managed to attract international attention to the Autokhovich case there is still no positive change. Police and court authorities still deny arrested entrepreneurs any democratic principles of investigation prescribed in the Belarusian Criminal Code.
