On 28 September KGB decided to leave Mikhail Marynich in custody for
30 more days “for the interests of investigation. This will be the sixths
month of jail for the ex-minister, who has been kept there since 26 April.
The permission to continue Marynich´s detention was given by Prosecutor General Viktar Sheyman who, according to Christos Pourgourides´ report is one of the suspects on the case of disappearance of oppositional politicians in Belarus.
Marynich is charged with illegal possession of weapon and theft. He pleads not guilty. Half month ago he underwent medical examination on the request of the investigation. Minsk doctors concluded his health had become worse during the time of his detention.
