Today, Amnesty International Norway protested against United States, where one will soon reach the 1,000th execution since 1976, with 42 executions so far this year. “One thousand executions are one thousand too many”, reads the lAmnesty letter to the American Embassador. More than 80 per cent of those executed were tried in cases that involved white vistims, depite the fact that nationally only 50 per cent of murder victims are white.
