The activities took place in both entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Posters were put all around the city of Sarajevo, in markets, public transport, schools etc. while postcards with anti-fascistic messages were sent to some NGOs and were distributed to Parliament.

The rest of the postcards was put in letterboxes in the city and distributed to student councils and human rights festival Pravo Ljudski, that took place in Sarajevo from 12th to 18th of November.

Youth group of the Helsinki Committee for human rights in the Republika Srpska also marked the Day against fascism and anti-semitism conducting two main activities.

The first activity was realized through cooperation with five high schools in the municipality of Bijeljina, Gymnasium, Economic, Technical, Medical and agricultural school, and High vocational school in Janja.

Schools were sent letters with the text with basic information about the 9th November and about Youth group. Letter was read during classes in all grades in the local schools, so primarily is draw attention to young people to the commemoration of this day, because many were not familiar with it, and certainly they are informed about the events that marked the 9th November in 1938., the so-called Kristallnacht, and with everything what it preceded and what followed it.

“By conducting all these activities Youth Group in Republika Srpska have given a clear warning that these events must not be repeated, and that young people can contribute to that with giving support to commemoration of this day”, says Marijana Pavic, coordinator of Youth group of the Helsinki Committee for human rights in Republic of Srpska.

Another activity was attaching posters with messages of struggle against fascism and anti-semitism, which were attached in the center of the city of Bijeljina and on the boards of local schools, as well as sharing flyers to citizens of Bijeljina, with the same messages, motivating as many people as possible to support the activities.

All posters and shared material were a part of campaign material delivered from the UNITED.
