Training Mlada MIRamiDA gathered 19 young persons from throughout Croatia, from different interest areas, who are active in their local communities. Participants spent one week learning from one another, socializing, exchanging experiences, sharing problems and trying to define and solve them together.

Topics covered by the training were:

  • Non-violent communication,
  • Team work and joint decision making,
  • Identities,
  • Differences, prejudices and discrimination,
  • Understanding and non-violent conflict resolution,
  • Non-violence and non-violent acting,
  • Gender and sex,
  • Human Rights,
  • Power and Peacebuilding;
  • Youth activism.

Training also resulted with the analysis of methods, principles and contents of peace education through special set of workshops called Peace Eucation.

Training Mlada MIRamiDA is part of the three-year education program which questions the impact of the individual and social relations in the context of peace-building, development of culture of tolerance and respect of human rights. It envisions learning process, exchange of skills important for social engagement, as well as thinking about potential social changes.
