The building of HRH Zagreb will be the place for all citizens of the Republic of Croatia, to receive help and consultations regarding the protection of their human rights.
The mayor Milan Bandic, has expressed his content that city of Zagreb could help HRH Zagreb in this way, since HRH Zagreb is a place and organization that protects the rights of all citizens in the Republic of Croatia. He was also happy to announce the computer donations for its offices, which is another contribution made by the city of Zagreb.
The founders of the House are six Croatian NGOs: Association for Promotion of Equal Opportunities for people with Disabilities, Association for Protection and Promotion of Mental Health “Svitanje“, Center for peace Studies Zagreb, Centre for Dealing with the Past “Documenta“, Civic Committee for Human Rights and Women’s Human Rights Group “Be active, be emancipated – B.a.B.e.” and Croatian Legal Center Legalis that will join additionally. All organization have a long history in promotion of human rights of certain categories, such as persons with disabilities, women, children, asylum seekers etc.
Establishment of HRH Zagreb was financially and morally supported by the Human Rights House Foundation from Oslo and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway.
