We are pleased to inform you that the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights (Warsaw-Poland) have started new educational project for journalists from Belarus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and North-West regions of the Russian Federation. During the seminar, the participants will familiarize themselves with among others, the philosophy and history of human rights, the rights of people especially endangered by human rights abuses (women and children) and marginalized groups (people infected with HIV/AIDS, sexual minorities, people with mental disability and drug addicts) as well as with issues related to reporting court cases.

The project consists of two-phase seminar devoted to the different matters related to the human rights. The seminar will be held in Miedzeszyn (suburbs of Warsaw): the first phase in July 14-18, 2007; the second – 1-6 October 2007.
The working language of the seminar is Russian. Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights will cover the costs of accommodation in Poland and travel costs of participants.
