On the 12th May 2014 the Human Rights House Zagreb organized a public debate entitled “Human rights situation in 2013” during which it presented the Report on the human rights situation in Croatia in 2013.
The report has been published and presented by the Centre of knowledge for development during the public debate on 12 May. Members of different NGOs who had contributed to the report took part in a debate involving the general public, representatives of NGOs, Ombudsperson Ms. Lora Vidovic and other members, the National Foundation for Civil Society Development, Government Office for Human Rights and Rights of National Minorities, the City Assembly, members of the Parliamentary Committee for Human Rights and Rights of National Minorities as well as media representatives.
Participants discussed topics such as violation of human rights in psychiatric institutions and violations of social and economic rights, focusing mainly on vulnerable groups in the society, including youth, women, national minorities as well as homeless persons.
