In the correction facility Yury Rubtsou, who pleaded not guilty, refuses to sign any papers. Immediately upon his arrival, the activist received a warning, because he violated three days period, during which he had to come to serve his sentence. According to Rubtsou, he refused to sign any papers or appeals, and therefore the management of the institution is now deciding what to do with him.

The activist lives in a dorm room for 6 persons. His cell phone is still working, and he will inform about the possibility to use the Internet later, when his roommates come from the work.

Since Yury Rubtsou refuses to sign any papers, therefore he may have problems with the employment, because the prisoners could leave the dorm only upon the request, which he flatly refuses to make.

At the end, the activist said that he is even ready to go on hunger strike if he is not employed or he would not be allowed to leave the dorm for work without the request.

On 6 October the judge of the Tsentralny District Court of Minsk Natallia Vaitsehovich passed a sentence – two and a half years of imprisonment in open-type correctional facility. One year of this period was terminated by an amnesty, therefore the activist is yet to serve 18 months.

On November 21, the Minsk City Court after the consideration of the Yury Rubtsou’s appeal, dismissed it and left the sentence without changes.
