The “East SOS” Charitable Foundation, member of Educational Human Rights House Chernihiv, organised a four-day educational and practical course at the House in March, entitled “The School is an Area for Human Rights.”

Participants arrived from towns and villages in the Luhansk region, which is front-line territory. They came to the training as teams from their schools, with each consisting of four people: teacher, representative of school administration, psychologist, and representative of the parents of students.

They considered the motivation to follow human rights, the teacher’s role in the new educational process, how to work with parents, and the interaction of schools with non-formal education. All participants shared their work experience with children.

It provides support to internally displaced persons from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and to inhabitants of zones near the collision line.

Educational Human Rights House Chernihiv is a modern and well-equipped educational conference and resource centre with accommodation facilities. It was founded by organisations from different regions of Ukraine, and welcomes civil activists and organisations engaged in civil and human rights education.
