The new magazine titled “Leader-Woman” started to be published in Azerbaijan. The magazine, covering the information about the activities of women’s organizations is the initiative of the Association for the Protection of Women’s Rights after D.Aliyeva. The magazine is also aimed at agitating the women’s input to the development of society. (20-JUL-07)

The magazine is published with the financial support of Kvinna Till Kvinna Foundation (Sweden) and is planned to get printed minimum by the end of 2007. 
According to the chairwoman of the Association, Novella Jafaroglu (right), the magazine will help Azerbaijani women to be leaders in all the spheres. “The only reason for the magazine is presenting leader women in Azerbaijan to the society in the highest level. We want to support them with our activities. We want to demonstrate the activities of Azerbaijani women in the socio-political life.” 
The project coordinator, Saadat Benanyarly (right), also notified the importance of such publication. “It is good visual aids, demonstrating women’s activity. We speak a lot about the big contribution of Azerbaijani women to the society, but now we can also show it in publication.”
The first issue of the magazine covers the activities of the Association for the Protection of Women’s Rights after D. Aliyeva and women working close to the organization. The next issues will present the women actively engaged in political and social activities in Azerbaijan.
