The introduction to the fifth X-PRESS session “Persons with disabilities deserve equal chances” will be made by Haris Causevic from Association of Altruists Svjetlo, from Sarajevo.
He will speak about the situation in which media workers usually avoid persons with disabilities in their work, which makes this group invisible in public media space. How can journalists overcome that wall, and how can Association of altruists SVjetlo help them in that – will be discussed on the fifth X-Press session.
X-PRESS sessions are envisioned as informal gatherings at breakfast, coffee, while thematic video projections and analysis of actual cases of media reporting on marginalized and minority groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina are being dicussed.
They are attended by BH journalists and members of NGOs that represent marginalized and minority groups from B&H. Mutual aim is equal and fair approach to media for all social groups and respect of ethical standards of journalism profession.
X-PRESS sessions are organized by Foundation CURE and Helsinki Assembly of Citizens from Republic of Srpska. They are being implemented in cities of Sarajevo and Banjaluka.
Project is financed by Delegation of European Commission in B&H.
