Racism on bus
The Norwegian People’s Aid in Bergen reacted strongly on the incident that occurred on a bus in Bergen January 17th. 30 asylum seekers from Vestlandsheimen refugee camp were left at the bus stop while a Norwegian passenger was allowed on board the bus. (February, 2002)

Recommendations to Norway in the Security Council
Norway is a member of the UN Security Council from 2001 to 2003, and is President in March. Fourteen Norwegian human rights NGO’s have made a number of recommendations to the Norwegian Foreign Minister, Mr. Jan Petersen, on a number of issues of vital importance to international peace and security. In the twentieth century there was no single country in the world where as many citizens have been sent to prison as the Russian Federation. One in every four adult men in the Russian Federation is a former prisoner. The prison population has reached the size of the Stalin´s GULAG. Read more (January 2002)
