Support Belarusian civil society

Since the August 2020 presidential election in Belarus, the country has been enveloped in a deep political crisis. The crisis began with a renewed crackdown on the population and civil society ahead of the election which has been widely condemned as neither free nor fair.

As of March 2022, Belarusian civil society has documented widespread human rights violations in the country including massive police violence against protesters, cases of enforced disappearance, reports of torture and ill-treatment and more. Belarusian NGO Viasna reports over 1000 political prisoners in the country. Support Belarusian civil society through the fundraisers below.

Support Russian civil society

For the last two decades, Russian authorities have systematically attacked and rolled back fundamental freedoms, shut down independent media, targeted civil society, and banned peaceful protest in Russia. Following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the situation has become even more dangerous for civil society. Support Russian civil society through the fundraisers below.
